Classroom Etiquette
 
 

  • Enter and Exit QUIETLY

  • Complete INSTANT ACTIVITY before each lesson

  • "STOP-Look-LISTEN" when teacher is talking

  • Equipment is DOWN when listening

  • Show KINDNESS toward others

  • Must have PERMISSION to LEAVE the learning area (restroom/water/nurse..PASS) 

  • WATER BOTTLES  must close properly to prevent spills and must be on sideline during instruction and activity

  • Follow RECESS safety:  share equipment/no tag/walking on playground

  • CLEAN UP/return EQUIPMENT quickly and line up SEATED for dismissal

  • Keep QUIET and CALM during safety drills

Can't Participate?
 

  • If a student is sick or injured, a note from home will be accepted for 1-3 days.  After 3 days,  a DOCTOR'S  NOTE is required to be excused from class. 

  • Sick or injured students will complete a participation worksheet on the sideline to follow along with the lesson. 

Additional Information that You Need to Know

Safety First!  Please remember...

  • Wear TENNIS/RUNNING SHOES to PE every day. "Safe shoes" must cover the entire foot, have a soft rubber sole (no elevated heels), and fit securely when running.  No boots, crocs, flats, or sandals please. Students may change in their classrooms before PE if necessary.  

  • Leave lanyards, long necklaces, scarves, or large jewelry at home

  • Leave gum, food, or toys at home

  • Wear SHORTS under skirts or dresses

  • Keep your hands and feet to YOURSELF
